Almost every broker I know wants better auto transport lead conversions. And even if you run a car hauling business, you want the same. If you didn’t, you probably won’t be in business long. Let’s be honest. Most of you who know me, know that I really don’t like to say what’s considered a good conversion rate. Unless I work with you one on one and we determine what your ideal conversion rate needs to be to make your business profitable. Other than that, I won’t answer that question.
Auto transport lead conversion rates are subjective.
In my opinion I think conversion rates in any industry are subjective, and more so the auto transport industry. What might seem like a great conversion rate for you, may be an underperforming rate for another auto transport broker or carrier. The same way your monthly expenses are different from the next guy, you can’t base how much you charge on what other companies are doing. More likely than not, their profitability margins are very different from yours.
For example a car hauling business with 10 trucks might be able to charge less for their transport rates than a one man shop. Or maybe it’s the opposite. Maybe the 10 truck car hauling business needs to charge premium prices to accommodate for their high tech tracking systems and unparalleled 24 hour 5 man customer service team.
However you turn it, the objective remains the same: everyone wants better auto transport lead conversion rates!
When I started my business, I didn’t have anyone to tell me this so everything I learned, I learned the hard way. No one told me what worked and what didn’t work. It took trial and error for me to figure it all out.

So today I want to share one simple low cost thing you can do in your business that will lead to better auto transport lead conversion rates. This tip has been proven time and time again throughout the business world, and that’s what prompted me to try it in my business. And when I did? It was like a major ah ha moment.

Hey Ashley,
Do you have one on one coaching sessions with new auto transport brokers? Also, I desire to start my business with a team. What suggestions would you have on starting with a team?
Yes I do offer consultations. Check out ReloGeek.com/consultations
As far as starting with a team, it depends on what your definition of team is. Do you mean partners or sales team. If partners, make sure you figure out who Has majority say in the company unless splitting with 3 people total. But anything in even numbers you need a majority holder. Also get everything in writing. If you meant sales team, make sure you’re financially ready to do so. And you have a great process for choosing the right team.
