VIDEO: Moving Tips: 5 Important Things to Remember Not to Pack On a Moving Truck

Do you have big plans on moving? Are you actively looking for answers on how to move to a new city? Perfect! So far, so good.

Regardless of whether you’re hiring a moving company or doing it yourself, you will need to know what to pack and what not to pack onto a moving truck. In this weeks episode, I will talk about the 5 Important Things to Remember Not to Pack On a Moving Truck.

Everyone knows that when it comes to moving, it’s very likely that some of your personal items can get lost, stolen or damaged. It’s just one of those unwanted perks of moving to a new city. Because of this, there are so many items that shouldn’t be packed onto a moving truck. For example:

Your toothbrush- Yes that’s right, your toothbrush should never ever be packed onto a moving truck unless you want to buy another one or if you’re just one of those people who prefer not to brush your teeth. {I don’t pass any judgement over here.}

Ah, going with the personal hygiene theme, please do not pack your deodorant because after all that lifting and moving, I think you just might need it. {a quick note of advice- do your friends the favor and wear it at least for this occasion. Any other time it’s solely up to you}.

Have you ever smelled the burning fragrance of a 14 day old tuna fish sandwich? Me neither and I will definitely pass on that experience. It’s safe to say you shouldn’t pack any perishable food onto the moving truck.

Those are just a few examples of items that didn’t make the final cut. For the sake of this episode, I have scoured every nook and cranny to narrow my list down to only 5.

Watch this weeks episode as I list them out one by one AND this week, I have included a cute little surprise inside. Hint: it’s furry. ;-):

I know first hand how much of a biotch moving can be when she wants, but it doesn’t have to be. You have to take control and let her know who’s head honcho in charge. By setting a few minutes aside to ensure irreplaceable and invaluable items are not loaded onto the moving truck {by accident or on purpose}, you will not only regain full control over moving, but you’ll also eliminate a lot of your stress.
