Moving For College

Moving For College: Trying to send your child off to college is one of the hardest things you will have to do.

It’s a bitter sweet moment. You are happy to see them make the proper steps to make a way for their future but you are sad because little Michael is not going to be little Mikey anymore and he is now in the process of moving for college. All grown up now, little Mikey is ready to live the college life.

You know it’s going to bring tears to your eyes when you fly across the country, help Mickey unpack, try to take control over decorating his dorm {even when you’re met with full resistance- you know the mom you’re embarrassing me type} tour the campus for like the second time already and then have to say your goodbyes. Yes those waterworks are already building up just by the thought of it.

Okay, let me stop before you and I both start crying. So you decided you want that last little bit of time with him before he’s makes his final preparations in moving for college, so you bought a plane ticket instead of letting him drive. {there’s no way under the sun, earth and moon, you are letting him drive over 3000 miles alone}

So where do you begin? You shipped a car years ago when you moved into this house but you can’t remember the name of the moving company. Your search starts with google. You type “reliable auto transport company”, “move my car”, “moving for college”, “cheapest auto transport companies”… You get tons of options.

Fun Fact: Did you know that there’s {246,000} searches a month for the words auto transport?

So you spend countless hours filling out quotes getting tons of responses and calls! You can only pick one and you have one shot at this to ship to college. Pick wrong and you’re bound to pay for it! After all you get what you pay for.

Tweet-able: “You get what you pay for.” { click to tweet }

Since you are still reading at this point, I take it you are waiting for my advice about how to find an auto transport company that will assist in moving for college?

Well here’s the best answer I can give;

Find a company who will offer some kind of money back guarantee.

The last thing you want is to book a company and a week later, your vehicle is still sitting. You want to know that you can get your money back and move on if you find they are not doing their job.

Find a company that treats you like a human and not a cash machine.

Unfortunately, a lot of brokers out there are just in it for the money. Which please don’t get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be paid. We all do. The problem comes when that’s all they want. They don’t care whether or not you have a great car shipping experience or whether or not you are about to check yourself into the mental institution. All they see is cha-ching.

Or you can simply fill out our client questionnaire and work with a company whose only mission is to make sure every client feels irrefutably taken care of.
