Move Outside Auto Transport Leads With Niche Markets

The best part of deciding to start a business as an auto transport broker, is the ability to make money from day one. Meaning, after that 21 day waiting period to find out if your freight broker authority has been approved, once you get the go ahead from the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), you’ll be able to make money that day. How might you ask?

Auto Transport Leads.

Auto transport leads for those of you who are new here, are potential car shipping clients. In freight brokering, you’d call them the “shipper” but in auto transport, we call them leads or clients. So you would purchase leads the same way people buy mailing lists. These auto transport leads are being sold usually to 9 other brokers. So you and 9 other people will have a chance to secure the same client. It’s your job to call these potential clients and try to show them your value and why you are the go to guy or gal to do the job. Why they would miss out if they don’t choose you.

As easy as it sounds, for some, it’s not. So as time goes on, you’ll find that you’ll tire of being in the rat race for these clients. At this point, you can do one of two things. Purchase exclusive leads which are shared with 1-2 other brokers, or you can generate your own.

Not that there’s anything wrong with the former, I highly recommend the latter.

Creativity breeds Exclusivity

I personally like being creative. I like the challenge of thinking outside the box or saying screw the box altogether. Nothing is better than coming up with something fresh and new that your potential clients haven’t yet experienced. Or finding new ways to find these clients. Ways that most auto transport brokers will dismiss because they get trapped in the buying leads game.

But you’re not like most auto transport brokers are you?

You’re a driven entrepreneur looking to do business differently and have way more fun than the other guys. We spoke about how to generate auto transport leads on your own whether you’re an auto transport broker or car hauler in this video. But today we are talking about one specific way you can move away from buying leads. I created this video sharing my advice and a great way that you can move outside of auto transport leads with something called niche markets. If you don’t know what they are, no worries. I got you covered!

So without further ado, let’s get rocking and rolling:
