Cheapest Way To Ship A Car Across Country | VIDEO

Almost every single person who’s looking to ship a car wants to know what’s the cheapest way to ship a car across country?

Funny enough, I was always so against choosing a company based on the lowest price because well, you usually get what you pay for.

But not just that. I know that carriers want the highest paying vehicles so those are the ones that move the fastest.

A lot of people wonder why their car is sitting for weeks but truth be told,

if your car isn’t priced right it won’t move.

Simple mathematics.

As I was saying, I usually am 100% against getting the cheapest deal however I had a client recently who opened my eyes to a whole new light.

This client was looking to ship a car across country from Florida to Seattle. When I got him on the phone for his consult, we went through the usual stuff, getting to know each other, understanding his move and more importantly figuring out whether or not I could actually help him.

So in the midst of our conversation, I asked him something I ask almost every potential client, “I know a lot of companies encourage you to ask questions and I find a lot of times the question you truly want to know goes unasked and unanswered. So speak now or forever hold your peace. Is there any question you have that you’d like an unadulterated answer to?”

Where most people say things like, “I just want my car there safely.” Or “I don’t want the driver to hijack my car, what are my chances.” Or even “I want to make sure my rate doesn’t change and you start charging me miscellaneous hidden fees.”

But this client was different. He said, “I am looking for the company that gives me the best deal. So I’m shopping around. However your company and another company quoted me the same rate and I don’t know who to chose. Any advice?”

Talk about my face dropping to the floor.

I was in shock. For one, no one has ever been that blunt and two, I couldn’t believe I’ve never been asked this before.

So I gathered my thoughts and started explaining to him the difference between how I would go about choosing a company and how because of my knowledge of the industry, how I recommend he go about choosing the company.

Believe it or not, explaining that to him, opened my eyes to price shopping car shipping services.

That I can actually endorse price shopping when you’re looking to ship a car across country.

So this week’s video goes a little into that process and my advice on why you should price shop.

But Ashley, how is this valuable as a broker?

If you’re a broker this is very valuable because if you ever get a client that is price shopping your services, you can use this as a way of educating them on doing it the right way. The more you educate the client on the process, the more they’ll trust you.

So without further ado, here’s this week edition of ReloGeek TV:

How to price shop when shipping a car across country.

It’s time to get your game face on. I want you to tell me if you agree or disagree with my idea of price shopping in the auto transport industry.

As always, thanks for watching.
