  5. Good Evening,

Thank you for the information Auto Transport Broker v. Car Hauler Business. I have an interest in starting a car hauling business. I do understanding your hesitation regarding someone doing the car hauler business part-time. However, I do want to keep ny full-time job. At least for now. My thought process is to get a Ford 350 and trailer for three cars. I live in Jacksonville, FL and would be looking to work regionally. I would like to have another individual work on a contract basis to keep the truck on the road as much as possible. I need to get a better understanding of the expenses involved both fixed and variable. Also, I need to determine the market. Any insight you may be able to provide would be most beneficial.

    Thank you!

  6. I own a small car hauling company right just a little guy I’m finding it very hard to find good paying loads and keeping my tralier full I’m doing a lot of dead heading I enjoy it very much but not making good money I’m afraid I’m going to have to close it down and don’t want to do u have any tips that mite help save my company I have in runing for 6 mounths now with a 2 car tralier and my Ford diesel pick up

    1. Jesse, just looking at this, I think that one of the biggest issues I see is you’re running a 2 car set up. It’s a very difficult game to play. Apart from that, I’d love to talk with you further. Fill out my contact form and I’ll be in touch. Let’s figure this out.

  7. Great video. I am currently a mom of 4 and i work as a company truck driver locally. I need the work life balance so i decideed to aim for becomeing a broker and hot shot truck owner (the maintenance for the hot shot truck is less expensive) I want to get some hot shot trucks to haul cars and hire drivers (ultimately i do not want to be a driver). Id also like to be a car hauler broker for the loads. What is your take on this?

    1. I think it’s great that you have plans and a dream. Which is a start. I would suggest getting quoted for insurance for said hot shot because the insurance for it can be a lot more expensive than a semi. Start there and then build a more solid plan and execute.

Good luck super mom! ? I’m rooting for you!

  8. Hello Ms. Ashely,
I am currently in the idustry as a Dispatch Specialist for UPS. I really enjoy the day to day challenges at work. Being able to figure out the best route for a load that might be dumped at the hub by another hub just to get the load moving is great. It’s all about making servisce on all loads. Building my confidence about becoming a freaight broker in 2 lanes. (car hauling and flatbed) I know this would be a good fit for me. So I’ve started taking classes on getting my broker license. But I do still need advice from a pro like yourself. The videos are very heplful and i subscibed to your channel. I am excited about the next journey in my life. Thank you for what you do and yes i want infor about the course that you will be offering.

    1. Thanks for the kind words and congratulations on taking the first step to becoming a broker. My course is always open for enrollment. I also now offer a membership option. Visit shipmorecars.com for more information!

      Have a GREAT day!
