You’re in luck because Christmas has come early for you. Santa said you were being very nice and since I was being naughty, if I want any chances of getting anything on my wish list, I have to help you in a major way…
And what better way than talking about auto transport leads.
I know how much you probably struggle with them.
You’re calling your leads but you keep getting voicemail after voicemail.
You’re emailing them and no one is responding.
You spend all day calling 30 plus leads only to come in the next day to an empty inbox and zero new messages on your voicemail.
And when you finally do get someone, they either tell you to stop calling, that you’ve got the wrong number or that they’ve already picked an auto transport company.
What a bummer.
Does any of this sound familiar? Or maybe all of it sounds familiar.
No I’m not psychic so no Mrs Cleo jokes please.
And I’m definitely not reading your mind.
I know because not long ago I was exactly where you are right now.
You’ve been told that auto transport leads is the only way you’re going to make money and trust me, that’s 110% true. And if you work for a broker then I’m sure they’ve explained the importance of converting these auto transport leads.
Either way you swing it, converting leads = $$$.
It’s all a part of running a business.
The problem is, how can you make any money if people are not answering their phones?
Or if by the time you call, they’ve already chosen a company?
And the worst feeling of them all is when you start feeling like you’ve been tricked by these lead providers. Instead of selling their leads to 10 brokers like they promise, the signs point to these companies selling their leads to 20 or 30 brokers.
That could very well be the case, but i promise you, it’s not your biggest problem here.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an auto transport broker or an agent working for someone who runs an auto transport brokerage, you’re probably experiencing the same issues.
Although it seems to be all doom and gloom, there is some good news.
I know why you’re probably not converting leads.
Ruby The Copycat
You might of heard the story, “Ruby The Copycat. If you didn’t, here’s the summary by Good Reads:
“It’s the first day of school, and Ruby is new. When her classmate Angela wears a red bow in her hair, Ruby comes back from lunch wearing a red bow, too. When Angela wears a flowered dress, suddenly Ruby’s wearing one, too.”
So what does Ruby the Copycat have to do with auto transport leads?
Well from my extensive research into the processes that most auto transport companies are using, I find one common flaw.
97% of the auto transport companies I’ve researched look and sound the same.
That is no exaggeration. Although I wish it was.
When companies hire me to help them convert more leads, the first thing I do is fill out a quote. Put myself in the shoes of their potential client.
I analyze the prospective clients experience from start to finish to see what is going wrong.
And 97% of the time, it’s in the first email they send. The quote email.
If your email looks and sounds like every other company out there, how and why should they choose you?
In best case scenario, they are going to either do an “eenie meenie miney mo” or in worst case scenario, they will go by price. And as you know you can’t win the price battle.
That’s why you’re not converting your auto transport leads.
Because you’re leaving your clients no way of differentiating between you and the other guys.
You sound just like them.
Your email looks like theirs.
Your voicemail mimics the ones they’ve left and I can bet your phone number looks similar to theirs.
How can you expect the client to tell the difference between you and them?
You’re leaving them no choice but to choose on price.
So how was I able to charge a $300 service fee, never be the first person to call but have clients begging me to move their car?
And more so, how can you?
It goes back to the story of Ruby the Copycat.
All Ruby wanted was to fit in. Like you, she was in a new environment. Fortunately, Ruby’s teacher figured out a better way to help Ruby fit in–by showing how much fun it is to be herself!
And that’s precisely the magic recipe for converting leads.
Obviously there’s more to the process which I teach in ReloAcademy, but the basis of it all is being yourself!
Finding ways to put more you into your business.
And if you’re an agent, finding ways to make your emails sound more human. To connect with the potential client and when you do that?
You can charge higher fees and competing with other brokers will be as simple as taking broccoli without cheese from a toddler. Because most toddlers don’t like broccoli without it.
It’s really that simple.
I challenge you to go out there and start converting more clients using the tips you’ve learned in this article, then come back to this page and let me know how it went in the comments below.
